Design unit
The design unit is an essential part of project planning division. This unit performs several tasks, including conducting surveys, preparing designs for new buildings, and making necessary modifications to existing buildings in various engineering specialties in coordination with relevant authorities.
It reviews designs prepared by consulting offices in coordination with consultants or different design entities and reviews quantity tables and prices. It studies the operational efficiency of the executed buildings and identifies weak points for their improvement in future designs. Additionally, it keeps current with the latest techniques and materials used globally in university infrastructure projects and studies the possibility of incorporating them to meet the university's project requirements. It provides technical advice and solves implementation problems related to designs and reviews plans submitted by the contractor if requested by the resident engineer's offices.
