Inspection Visit to the College of Computer Science at the University of Technology

Dr. Oday Hamoudi, Head of the Department of Construction and Projects, Dr. Venus Suleiman, Member of the University Beautification Committee, and several engineers from the Department of Construction and Projects conducted an inspection visit to the College of Computer Science at the University of Technology. A meeting was held with Dr. Alaa Khadim, the college's Head, to inspect the college buildings and prepare a comprehensive rehabilitation plan.

 

Objectives of the Visit
1. Evaluating the Current Situation: Inspecting the existing buildings and facilities of the College of Computer Science and identifying areas that need maintenance and updates.
2. Developing a Rehabilitation Plan: Preparing a comprehensive plan for the rehabilitation of buildings and facilities, discussing the timeline, and the resources required for implementation.
3. Enhancing Aesthetics and Infrastructure: Improving the aesthetic aspects of the buildings and facilities, ensuring a comfortable and attractive educational environment for students and faculty.

 

Details of the Visit
1. Building Inspection: The team conducted a field visit to all the College of Computer Science buildings, assessing the condition of the buildings in terms of infrastructure and internal and external equipment.
2. Meeting with the Administrative Assistant: A meeting was held with Dr. Alaa Khadim, the college's Head, to discuss the college's specific needs and the rehabilitation efforts required. They exchanged views on priorities and potential challenges in implementing the rehabilitation plan.

3. Preparing the Rehabilitation Plan: A comprehensive plan for the rehabilitation of the college was developed, which includes:
    • Improving Infrastructure: Updating electrical and mechanical systems, and maintaining walls and ceilings.
    • Renovating Facilities and Enhancing Aesthetics: Improving classrooms, laboratories, and administrative offices.

 

These efforts are expected to significantly improve the educational environment at the College of Computer Science. The rehabilitation plan aims to provide a modern and safe educational environment, enhancing the comfort of students and faculty and contributing to improving the quality of education.
