Under the direct supervision of Dr. Oday Hammoudi Abdullah, Head of the Construction and Projects Department, and with the participation of several department engineers, significant progress has been made in constructing the Presidential Annex building. Key completed tasks include:

 

• Ground Floor Ceiling Preparation: The ceiling formwork for the ground floor was meticulously prepared in full compliance with approved engineering standards. Reinforcement for the ceiling was completed and verified to meet all technical specifications and required standards.
• Concrete Casting Execution: The ceiling casting process was successfully carried out, adhering to all technical requirements regarding concrete quality and mixing ratios. Advanced equipment ensured a smooth and precise casting process, with strict adherence to safety protocols on-site.
• Post-Casting Procedures: The ceiling is currently being monitored to ensure proper curing of the concrete. Regular water curing is being conducted to enhance its durability and strength, ensuring the highest levels of stability.

 

This achievement is part of a comprehensive plan supervised by the Construction and Projects Department to ensure that the Presidential Annex project is completed to the highest quality standards and within the designated timeframe. The project aims to bolster the university's infrastructure, providing a modern and advanced work environment that meets the demands of both academic and administrative operations.

• Column Casting: The column casting process was completed on December 12, 2024, adhering to all technical procedures to ensure high-quality execution.
• Post-Casting Procedures: Following the casting process, the required waiting period was observed to ensure concrete stability and strength. The molds were then carefully removed using appropriate technical steps. The columns were thoroughly water-cured to enhance the concrete's quality and durability.
• Ground Floor Ceiling Framework: Work has commenced on the ceiling framework for the ground floor, following the approved schedule and technical specifications to ensure efficient execution.

 

This milestone highlights the commitment of the Construction and Projects Department to maintaining the highest levels of quality and technical standards in the project’s implementation. The President of the Technological University, Dr. Ahmed Mohammed Hassan Al-Ghaban, conducted a field visit to inspect the University Monument Project, accompanied by:

• Dr. Farhad Mohammed Othman, Assistant President for Administrative Affairs.
• Dr. Venus Suleiman, Member of the University Beautification Committee.
• Dr. Oday Hammoudi Abdullah, Head of the Construction and Projects Department.
• A group of engineers from the Construction and Projects Department.


The visit included a comprehensive tour of the project site. The President emphasized the significance of this project as a prominent achievement of the Beautification Renaissance Committee at the Technological University in collaboration with the Historic Preservation Technology Unit. During the tour, technical observations were discussed with the project's executive committee, emphasizing the need to complete the work with the highest quality standards to reflect the university’s rich history and scientific reputation.


Dr. Al-Ghaban highlighted the site's importance, noting that it has been an integral part of the university's heritage since its founding.
At the end of the visit, Dr. Al-Ghaban expressed his appreciation for the efforts of all parties involved. He affirms that the project will enhance the Technological University's cultural and aesthetic identity, adding an artistic touch that reflects the institution's legacy. He praised the executive committee's advanced level of execution and precision.
