Sanitary facilities are a vital component of the infrastructure in any facility, playing a crucial role in improving the environment and user comfort. In this context, the Department of Construction and Projects undertook a meticulous and detail-oriented project to renovate the bathrooms in the University Presidency building, contributing to achieving the highest quality standards and enhancing the user environment.
The works carried out in this project included several essential steps:
- The floor and ceramic tiles of the bathroom walls were removed, with careful attention to lifting the seats and sinks and disposing of debris away from the site.
- Wall treatment was implemented to prevent moisture leakage, contributing to the overall preservation of the structure and walls.
- A new water network was installed using resistant P.P.R pipes connected to the main line. Water clarity was examined, ensuring no leaks were present.
- Using high-quality materials, Ceramic tiles were applied to the floors and walls. The surface was meticulously cleaned, and joints were precisely filled.
- Mirrors, sinks, doors, and seats were equipped and installed with extreme care.
- Electrical and plumbing works were executed, including installing electrical switches, electric heaters, and high-quality plumbing fixtures, as well as installing high-efficiency LED lighting in the bathrooms, providing good lighting and reducing energy consumption.
Daily site cleaning was considered, and no work residues were left for the next day.
