A team from the Construction and Projects Department at the University of Technology hosted Dr. Suhad Abdul Amir Mahdi, an assistant professor from the University of Baghdad specializing in garden engineering. This visit comes as part of the university's efforts to develop and improve the environment of its gardens, ensuring the implementation of the highest standards of quality and design.
Objectives:
- Benefit from the lecturer's experience in garden engineering to improve and renew green spaces at the university.
- Redesigning gardens according to engineering and aesthetic standards.
- Achieving a sustainable and attractive garden environment.
A comprehensive inspection tour was conducted on all university gardens with the participation of the lecturer. The following points were emphasized:
- The condition of plants, trees, and current soil.
- Examination of irrigation systems and analysis of their effectiveness.
- Evaluation of potential areas for design improvement and adding new elements.
Ideas for improvement and new design were discussed between the parties. Emphasis was placed on incorporating sustainability and renewal elements into plans. Photos and notes were taken to document the current situation and points to focus on in the future.
Based on the tour results, proposed designs and improvements will be reviewed, and a comprehensive action plan will be developed to rehabilitate the university gardens.
This tour is a valuable opportunity for cultural exchange and enhancing cooperation between the two universities. It is expected that the recommendations and improvements suggested by Dr. Suhad Abdul Amir Mahdi will contribute to improving the quality of the gardens and enhancing the aesthetics of the environment at the University of Technology.
