The Construction and Projects Department commenced the University Theatre project on January 18th. The initial works of the project included the following steps:

1. Removal of the stage deck to prepare the space for upcoming works.
2. Inspection and removal of damaged parts of the concrete structure to ensure its safety.
3. Removal of theatre chairs, plastic walls, and secondary ceilings in preparation for new works.
4. Demolition of specific parts of the facade to prepare it for the installation of a new facade.
5. Treatment of termite infestation in the university theater to preserve the structure and ensure safety.
6. Pouring of concrete structures using ready-mix concrete to ensure structural strength and stability.
7. Monitoring and supervision of laboratory inspections by taking samples of concrete cubes to examine their compression resistance and ensure quality.

Work is still ongoing on the project, with efforts focused on completing it according to the specified schedule and with the highest standards of quality and safety.
