The Construction and Projects Department Continues Rehabilitation Work at the Annex of the College of Chemical Engineering

The Department of Construction and Projects continues to implement a comprehensive rehabilitation project for the annex of the Faculty of Chemical Engineering, to improve infrastructure and meet safety and quality requirements. The project includes several works aimed at modernizing facilities and creating an integrated and modern learning environment.

 

Details of rehabilitation work:
• The works include uprooting and replacing floors and walls with porcelain, as well as replacing Western and Eastern laundries and sanitary facilities.
• Replacement of secondary doors and ceilings to match modern design and sanitary standards.
• Lifting old windows and replacing them with new ones with modern specifications that provide good insulation and enhance natural lighting.
• Raising old floors and replacing the stairs with alabaster ones, while maintaining and painting the entrance walls.
• Implementation of gypsum board décor to give a modern character to the entrance.
• Raise the old dilapidated electrical network and replace it with a new one.
• Adding pullers, ceiling fans, and rocket pullers, and replacing old lighting with modern ones.
• Laying a tri cable in the corridors to feed electricity to laboratories and establish a main electricity room.
• Equipping laboratories with modern air conditioners to provide a comfortable environment for work and study.
• Implementation of aluminum partitions inside laboratories to divide spaces and facilitate the effective use of facilities.
• Treatment of sources of water leakage in the surface, where the water sources were coated with isocam to isolate them and ensure that moisture does not leak.
• Carrying out maintenance work for laboratory walls while treating existing defects and dyeing them to suit the modern appearance.
• Treatment of the outer walls of the corridors and the implementation of final painting work.

 

This project aims to improve the infrastructure of the annex building in the College of Chemical Engineering and to provide an advanced learning environment that contributes to improving the experience of students and faculty members. The various works that have been carried out aim to enhance the level of safety and comfort inside the building and ensure its readiness to meet the needs of the college and create an integrated learning environment.
