Assistant Lecturer Shoula Raad Naiem, Head of the Design Unit in the Department of Construction and Projects, organized on Monday, 25/11/2024, a scientific field visit for students of the second stage in the Faculty of Architecture, Architectural and Urban Engineering, to the site of the presidential extension project at the University of Technology. The visit came in coordination with the teaching staff of the subject "Building Construction 1", represented by teacher Dr. Ghada Ghaleb Al-Nuaimi and assistant teacher Nadia Abdul Jabbar, aiming to enhance students' theoretical knowledge through its practical application.
Objectives of the visit:
• Enhance practical understanding: Provide students with the opportunity to link theoretical information acquired in the classroom with practical applications on construction sites.
• Learn about the implementation steps: Introduce students to the technical and engineering procedures used to implement construction projects.
• Gain real-world experience: Provide students with hands-on experience that helps them deal with workplaces and infrastructure directly.
This visit comes within the framework of the university's keenness to achieve integration between theoretical and applied education, which enhances the efficiency of students and qualifies them to integrate into the engineering labor market professionally.
