Iraqi Engineer's Day

 

In a special celebration held to honor Iraqi Engineer's Day, the Head of the Department of Construction and Projects, Dr. Oday Hamoudi Abdullah., was honored by the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Naim Al-Aboudi. This recognition comes as an appreciation for the significant efforts made by engineers, which contribute to infrastructure development and the improvement of the academic and research environment in higher education institutions.

Under the patronage of the esteemed Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Naim Al-Aboudi, and the esteemed Governor of Baghdad, Mr. Abdul-Muttalib Al-Alawi, the foundation stone was laid for the annex project of the University of Technology Presidency.
This project is a fundamental step in the journey of developing the university's infrastructure, aimed at enhancing its academic and research capabilities. The building to be constructed will consist of five floors, providing modern and flexible spaces to meet the growing needs of the university, both in terms of administrative offices and academic facilities. The building will include advanced facilities such as meeting rooms, administrative offices, archives, and secretarial offices, in addition to other service areas to support the university's activities.
The project aims to meet the current and future needs of the university by providing advanced infrastructure that aligns with international standards. This will enhance the university's ability to attract outstanding students and faculty members and provide a state-of-the-art educational and research environment that keeps pace with the latest technological developments.
This project is expected to significantly impact the university's performance, contributing to the advancement of education and scientific research in Iraq as a whole. The officials have affirmed their full commitment to following up on the project's implementation according to the specified timeline and ensuring its completion with the highest levels of quality and efficiency.

Under the patronage of the esteemed Minister of Higher Education, Dr. Naim Al-Aboudi, and the supervision and follow-up of the esteemed Dr. Ahmed Mohammed Hassan Al-Ghaban, and the implementation of the supervision, planning, and design by the Department of Construction and Projects, and the University Aesthetics Committee, the project for the rehabilitation of the University of Technology Presidency building has been completed.
This project represents an important step towards improving the university's infrastructure and providing a suitable work environment that aligns with modern academic standards. The project was executed according to the latest engineering and design methods, reflecting the commitment of the ministry and the university to providing the best educational and research services.
The project included numerous engineering works and technical installations, including updating the internal and external facilities of the building, enhancing public safety through the installation of fire alarm systems, and updating security and surveillance camera systems. Comfort for employees and visitors was ensured by redesigning the internal and external spaces of the building and providing a suitable reception area for visitors and students. The project also involved the development of essential service facilities.
The efforts of all participating parties contributed to the completion of this project according to the specified timeline and within the allocated budget.
This achievement is part of a comprehensive development plan aimed at raising the standard of Iraqi universities and providing exemplary educational environments that contribute to the development of students and faculty members' academic skills and capabilities alike.
