The vision of the Construction and Projects Department:

Preparing an integrated university in all aspects (at its current location) involves constructing buildings, halls, and laboratories capable of accommodating the increasing number of students and keeping up with the worldwide urban development. The aim is to graduate students with high scientific and technical knowledge, reflecting the qualities of distinguished Iraqi engineers. These graduates should be able to access job opportunities and contribute to scientific progress. Consider creating an alternative university city in a more suitable location that meets the highest international standards for universities.

The message of the Construction and Projects Department:

The constitution defines the activity carried out by the department, which is to prepare specific plans for the development of existing university buildings and the establishment of new ones that keep pace with the latest advancements in construction engineering, architectural engineering, and all specializations. These plans aim to ensure the university reaches advanced ranks in all aspects.

The goals of the Construction and Projects Department:

Preparing and graduating an integrated engineering staff with a high level of efficiency and scientific knowledge to contribute to the development of the country to elevate it to the highest levels, keeping up with advancements, and supervising the construction of modern and advanced buildings that align with the scientific progress of colleges, scientific departments, research, service, and administrative centers.

It is additionally developing the old buildings and all departments within the university by adding floors and rehabilitating old floors of department buildings, meeting the needs of departments through an annual plan prepared by all university formations, approved and translated into the needs of facilities and operational requirements that are worked on to be provided within the department formations, which are directly supervised by the respected university president and the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, in line with the status of the Technological University.

The Department of Construction and Projects has been vital in overseeing and implementing all construction works and building projects within and outside the Technological University since its establishment in 1975. It has also been responsible for maintaining all infrastructure within the university, including water networks, high-pressure networks, road rehabilitation, and the university entrances.

The Department of Construction and Projects has supervised and implemented numerous strategic projects, including constructing a residential complex for university professors in the Za'afaraniya area in 2002. Additionally, it has been involved in constructing vital buildings within the university. After 2003, the department rehabilitated university buildings damaged or destroyed by fires, restoring them to their former glory.

The urban development witnessed by the university after 2006, which included the construction of dozens of department buildings and the addition of floors to some facilities, was carried out under the highest technical specifications and the supervision of the Department of Construction and Projects. This department will continue to play a leading and pioneering role in the ongoing progress and development of the Technological University.
